Description:

Luanco port is sheltered by the breakwater located in “Punta del Gallo”. It is a 250 meters breakwater arranged with a small mooring quay of 100 meters long on its internal side.

The aim of the present project is to develop the first phase for the planned installations detailed in the preliminary design project “Port Installations in the new Port of Luanco”.

As a result of this first phase of works, new marine and terrestrial surfaces are created to be used by a limited number of vessels, prior to a second phase of greater scale for the future needs of the port. All the raw material obtained in the dredging of the port is supposed to be used as filling in the dry dock esplanades and slopes.
