Description:

Partial modification of the railway layout in the stretch: Linares – Casas de Torrubia, where Cáustulo archaeological site and Casa Blanca necropolis can be found.

The present modification arose as a necessity to avoid the archaeological remains found in the first layout. The fact of moving to the east the layout resulted in a lower earthwork and therefore a significant reduction on the environmental impact.

This optimization also enabled the reduction of the length of artificial tunnel “Las Madrigueras”, and the elimination of two structures, three overpasses and part of the retaining walls.
