Description:

Modifications on the Project were carried out as a request of the Project Management team, with the objective of adapting original project (May 2007) to current regulations, to ground conditions obtained from the Geotechnical study and finally to the reduction of the original building plot.

The main purpose of the sport centre is to serve as a building intended for the simultaneous practice of diverse sports.

Project was designed according to the following principles:

o Willingness to respect and integrate into the environment

o Installation of Photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building for the generation of electrical energy, which will be used to satisfy intern demand of the sport installations and to bring surplus energy to the power system.

Building design is characterized by large glazing areas on the south façade, protected from the direct effect of the sun by a system of fixed blades harmonized with the outer look of the building.

Interior of the building gives an image of spacious open area where there is no physical barrier between bowling alley and the rest of the court in order to share visibility and make possible to rotate the stands from the bowling area to the court.
