Description:

This Project details the required Works for the erection of a new building aimed to be used for Nautical – Sport support activities developed in the Port., such as visitors centre and offices building.

Building hosts reception, toilets, changing rooms, vessel’s hangar and a shop, as well as auxiliary and complementary rooms.

Works have been designed considering factors such as soil conditions, urban specifications and building regulations, as well as necessities and aesthetics - constructive criteria suggested by the client.

Building external image has been shaped to look like a vessel’s inverted prow. It has a ground floor, a first floor and a second floor used as a terrace deck overlooking the whole estuary.

Areas aimed to be toilets and changing rooms are designed in the ground floor, all of them are interconnected by an internal corridor. Vessel’s hangar will be located in the rear of the ground floor and has independent access doors.  First floor is almost completely occupied by an open space shop. Remaining surface in this floor is open air and used as a terrace. Finally, there is a second floor used as a watchtower of the estuary.
