Description:

Territorial Road Program predicts and plans the road network in the principality of Asturias during the following 10 years along with corresponding investment requirements.

From the technical point of view, two main actions have been carried out:

• On the one hand, a Geographical Information System has been implemented in order to accurately determinate action requirements and general organization of the road network.

• On the other hand, specific software has been developed in order to generate ambitious traffic studies and capacity simulations which pour out interesting results on the road performance before and after the proposed actions.
